How Would You describe the drama?

The presentation is not only a passion play, but tells the whole story of God and His creation from the beginning of time till our current day. The presentation is relevant to all ages, settings, and any time of year. Approximately 20 actors passionately act out scenes from before time, the Bible, and today, showing how God's epic story has been continuing through time and into our own lives. Current music, relevant to all ages, helps tell the story of this epic adventure.

How long is the drama, and is it appropriate for young children?

The presentation will be approximately an hour in length. Because of the nature of God's Story, some scenes may become a little scary for very young children. Yet, the presentation remains an accurate, Biblical portrayal and has proven relevant and suitable for all ages of campers each summer. It's definitely a family event!

Are there DVD's of the drama or CD's of the soundtrack available for purchace?

Due to copyright laws, we are unable to sell a DVD or CD of the drama at this time.

How can I get involved with Awaken as a cast, crew member, or volunteer?

Cast and Crew applications are due every Fall for the upcoming season. Applications are available in the "Join the Team" section of the website. If interested in joining the Awaken team or volunteering in any way, please contact Awaken. We'd love to talk with you!

What is AWAKEN's current connection with Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp?

Riverside provided a wonderful place for the vision of AWAKEN to be realized, grown, and then sent forth in mission with the blessing of the Riverside community, and by the power of the Spirit to reach many more people for Jesus Christ. As of August 2007, AWAKEN is no longer an official ministry of the camp, but continues a wonderful, mutual relationship, supporting each other in the spirit of Jesus! Many AWAKEN team members are former and current Riverside staff members. The "mime drama" continues to be a life changing event each week at Riverside during the summer months.

All other donations can be sent to AWAKEN directly at 1627 S. High Ave. Ames, IA 50010). AWAKEN is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code through Zion Lutheran Church. You will be provided with a tax receipt for any donation that you make.
